easyJet Adds 11 Newcastle Airport Routes With Base Reopening Next Year
While easyJet closed its base in 2020, it will reopen in March 2026. When it does, the airline will introduce 11 routes, mostly to beach destinations. Six of them were previously served, while five are new to its network. They include Sharm El Sheikh, becoming easyJet’s longest route ever from Newcastle.

Gibraltar, Jerez, Milan Linate, Sibiu and Tallinn have joined Birmingham Airport’s map, of which all are new except Gibraltar. The addition to Jerez brings Birmingham’s Spain network to 19 destinations.
Qatar Airways Now Has Up To 4 Daily Flights To Manchester Airport
Until now, Qatar Airways has not had more than 3 daily Manchester flights. That changed in June 2025, with 24 weekly services (3 to 4 daily) for the first time. The Boeing 787 and Airbus A350 operate, with the 777 returning in October.

Air Canada will no longer operate Calgary-London-Heathrow-Delhi. Instead, it will reintroduce Toronto-Heathrow-Mumbai, having last served that route in winter 2023/2024. It’ll replace its planned non-stop Toronto-Mumbai flights.
Air China’s Boeing 747 Replaces Boeing 777 On 1-Off London Heathrow Service
On 8 June, an Air China Boeing 747-8i was flown to London Heathrow on one of the carrier’s two daily flights from Beijing Capital to the UK’s busiest airport. Due to Chinese dignitaries, it replaced the 777-300ER that is ordinarily used. The airline last regularly flew the jumbo to Heathrow 17 years ago.
easyJet Begins The 1st Flight From Liverpool Airport To This Popular European Destination
On 9 June, easyJet took off from Liverpool Airport to Split, Croatia’s second most populous city. It is the UK airport’s second Croatian destination, after Zadar. Previously, the Merseyside airport had flights to Dubrovnik and Pula.
